We lost a car from our rotation this week so that stinks...we are now biking one week and driving the other. It could be a lot worse I suppose, and the weather has been great, so i'm chill with it. The only thing is we have an enormous area and can only bike about 5% of it geographically.
Tuesday we had an all day service day! Woot! We helped paint a house all morning/afternoon. And the evening did some garage work for another member. Staying in normal clothes all day has only happened 1 other time my mission. They are rare.
We knocked on a door and this lady with a funny accent opened it up. We started talking to her and it turns out she is Albanian! She let us right in, gave us drinks, and talked about her family. We left her a pamphlet and a Book of Mormon. We need to get her one in Albanian. She was so nice and we're going back next week. (:
We received a bunch of referrals this week. It was crazy. More than i've had in my entire mission. They are super freakin rare, but we're way stoked because it will add between 3 and 7 people to teach.
The funniest thing that happened this week would definitely be our Sunday bike trip. We were literally right outside our apartment after being out for a few hours. We went to leave our bikes and finish the day on foot. My companion was going to jump the curb and ride up on the lawn but either he wasn't going fast enough or didn't jump high enough. He wrecked into the curb then crashed against a parked car. Hahahaha I was dying. 🚘🚲😂
