August transfer where a huge group of new missionaries show up. I was
transferred out of Liberty 1st Ward and my last companion, Elder
Kolacz is training. Oh also my son, Elder Boyce, is training too. That
makes me a grandpa in the mission now(;
It was such an awesome Ward. I'm going to miss it a lot!! :/
I'm now in Tiffany Springs Ward. It's just barely outside Liberty zone
so I'm still really close to where I used to be! In fact we live in
the same complex where I used to do exchanges so I kind of know the
area already(: Our Ward boundaries are huge again...Some reason they
like sending me to the big boy places.
My companion's name is Elder Mejia! He's dope! He's from West Valley,
UT but originally from Southern Mexico.
Funny story. Every single day since I've gotten here we've had an
immense amount of cookies. It's so strange. Random people we visit, at
service, dinner appointments, and members have been giving us cookies.
Seriously my body can't handle it though. O.o
There's been some crazy weather lately. I think 3 tornadoes went down
last week and one hit the ground a little ways off from us. There's
intense thunder and lightning every night O.o
On Friday we went over to the la familia Contrares for a lesson. We
are teaching their soon to be daughter in law, Laurie. It was the
first discussion and we invited her to be baptized...She said yes!!
She's come to church a whole bunch of times and we're going to the
Independence visitor center on Tuesday. The lesson was almost too
golden to be real. Every question and answer she had was prime. It was
so cool.
I hope you all had a great week!
Adios,
Elder Regis
