Hey everybody! I hope things are all going well where you are. This week has been the craziest week of my whole life so far. I also have lots of pictures I want to send so hopefully they all make it through!
Last P day we went bowling in Lee Summit. It was really fun! However Elder Parry thought it would be funny to use a six pound ball and chuck it like 70 mph down the lane. So as he goes to through it as
hard as he can the tiny holes stick to his fingers so he releases the ball at the top of his swing..we all stared as we watched it fly halfway down the lane, bounce on the metal divider, then smash into the wall above the pin cycler. Then the whole panel fell down with a big hole in it...you could have heard a pin drop. They were not very happy with him. Luckily they didn't charge him anything. We got a good pic out of it though(:

The next matter of business would be TRANSFERS. Elder Parry finished his mission! My new companion is named Elder Boyce. Our first few days together we're not normal. We spent 5 hours in the mission office working on a broken phone and then had to drive to a store to finally fix it. Terrible!
Though this next story is a little more brutal...(sorry mom).
We were on our way to St. Luke's hospital Friday morning to give a blessing. It was a dreary morning, cloudy and raining. We pulled up and stopped at the red light at in intersection at the plaza. When the light turned green I quickly hit the gas to drive on through. Then my companion yells "CAR!" I looked over about 3/4 of a second before impact. During that time I had a full conversation with myself in slow motion that went a little like this..
"Where the heck did that truck come from."
"We are about to get wrecked."
"Is this really going to happen?"
"You have got to be kidding me."
Then we got trucked. I guess he ran a really late "yellow" light. The airbags went off and we spun 180 degrees into the opposite side of the road. I don't know how, but we both stood up out of the car after it happened. We were protected from harm with the exception of a sore neck the next day. Needless to say I have been stressed out like madness trying to train a new missionary, fix phones, teach, and now travel without a car. If anyone needs a chill pill it's me (': Here's what our totaled car looks like.

You know I am never one to end on a bad note though. And there was something this week that makes this hectic mission worth it. Michael was finally baptized on Saturday! It was awesome. It has taken quite a bit of work to get him in the water but he did it! He also received the priesthood a day after!
So even in the midst of a cloudy day, there's always a silver lining. Or in this case a white jump suit. Either way it's what I live for.
Have a great week everybody!
