I am pretty sure it has rained 24/7 for the past 5 days this week. We go to bed to the rain and wake up to it. It's also walk week so that adds an interesting dynamic. Jumping over rivers in the streets. Haha some days we come home soaked (': Especially the day we helped a guy move and rode in the back of the truck bed in the freezing rain. Yup that was cold.
Thanksgiving here was great! We had 3 different meals hehe. Started at 1 o clock and ate until 8 o clock that night. One was with a part member family which was cool. I was so stuffed it was awesome. I will have to work out a lot...
Tomorrow I will be accompanying the zone in the song, "I cannot find my way" for the entire mission. I don't know how I ended up having to do this but here goes nothing -.- luckily we've practiced a lot. We have the zone singing with solos, me accompanying, and another elder playing a box drum. It sounds really cool actually!
We had a couple of really cool lessons with our investigator Nate. We taught the word of wisdom and chastity and he has 0 problems with either (first time ever that's happened!!) then we taught the law of tithing and fasting and his response was, "Definitely. I try to give more than 10 percent actually." He already has a testimony of it. Holy cow. So cool. His wife was there too for the first time during the law of tithing (not a usual first lesson) and when I began to share Malachi 3:10 they both recited it memorized back to us. So dope.
And so the Christmas season begins. Still praying for snow. Have an awesome week.
Mucho amor,
Elder Regis
P.s. The comp and I may have made a music video. Here's a pic
