How about that BYU game though?!? I mean yeah I didn't watch it. But
members are kind enough to show us highlights at dinner appointments.
Hehe go Cougars.
Joke of the week from bro Strub.
There's a BYU fireside with the football team here before they play
Missouri. A lot of Catholics are expected to show up due to all of the
Hail Mary's we've had. (':
...hehehe.
This week has been pretty good!
We had interviews with president and that was great. Then after as
we were at another apartment of missionaries a taser was brought out.
Elder Tu'akulau has one for some reason..so I really enjoyed watching
my companion get tased(': buenos tiempos.
We also have went to the Nelson Atkins Museum of Art too. It was
way cool. Lots of really cool exhibits and stuff. My favorite was
probably the ancient Japanese scroll art or the million dollar mummy.
The others Elders have started their own version of a talk show
too a week ago.(': Due to the fact there are 4 elders in our zone
getting killed this week, my comp being one of them. So every night
they record a message on their phone and send it to those
companionships. It's called.. #trunkycountdown. And they pretend it's
a talk show and every night do a countdown of some topic they will be
doing when they get home. For instance, last night was top 4 things
they're going to buy. They ended with an engagement ring hahaha. The
whole purpose is to trunk out the zone and it's working.(':
Then we had mid trainers meeting. Where all the trainee
missionaries go with their trainers and do a little
meeting/assessment. It was really fun to see everyone from the CCM.
However. The title of this email is more than just a reference to football...
...I have been called to become a trainer. Yep. ARE YOU KIDDING?
What kind of sick joke is this.
I've been out for a single transfer, not even done with my own
training, can barely speak Spanish, and am expected to train a new
Spanish Elder. -.- what the heck. Feel like Imma puke I'm so nervous.
Hahaha it kinda makes me laugh how much of a chance President and
Heavenly Father are taking on me. But if I'm required to do it I'll do
it I'll do it. Gonna be the best dang trainer you ever saw.
I hope.
Fun fact though, after this transfer 40 percent of all the
missionaries here will be in their first 3 transfers or less. We are a
baby mission!! So much inexperience. But because of this we all just
rely desperately on the Spirit.
That's my invitation to you. If you're living how you should,
following the spirit comes naturally. As Elder Bednar says, Anything
that invites or enticeths to do good is of God. Don't worry about it.
Just be good. (:
Anyway I'm sure in my next email there will be some interesting new
stories from our adventures.
As always, thank you for all your support and prayers. I have the best
friends and family in the entire world!
