So we got back into a car rotation! Woohoo!!
I think I'm cursed. We almost died again. Not really but yeah. We were driving the day we got the car going about 45-50 mph down a dark road...and I kid you not. The road stops. It goes straight into concrete barriers. My companion said some choice words and I slammed the brakes and we were a few feet before hitting it. Like what the freak. No signs, nothing! Just a wall. Yeah not taking that road again. -.-
On a side note I promise I really am not a bad driver. I think God just wants to remind me he's in charge by giving me heart attacks.
My Spanish has gotten much better I think. We've talked to several Mexicans and such out here and I can have perfectly normal conversations with them. Then this week we met a really cool lady named Estela. We happen to catch her home and set up a time to come back. Estela is from Columbia...holy cow her tongue makes sparks in her mouth she speaks so fast! My companion was completely in blown into the sea and I was left to basically do the whole thing alone (': It was really awesome though actually how the Spirit was able to work to help. She told us at the end of the lesson how she wanted to go to church really bad which was so cool!
Our investigator Raneesha has been in and out of the hospital recently. So she's been taking strong prescription medicines. We stopped by today and she told us she took her medicine about 10 minutes earlier. About 10 minutes into our conversation she was high has a kite. Hilarious. She started bobbing her head around and just saying weird stuff...but to top it off we started messing with her by speaking Spanish too her and she could flipping respond! Like what the heck (': I looked at Elder Boyce and was like, "wait, your cousin got revelation while he was high right?" And he said, "yeah...he was high and got this vision that he needed to go on a mission..so he did." God works in some mysterious ways huh. So we told her to read the Book of Mormon and we are hoping she gets some "revelation" or something to that effect hehe. In all seriousness though that book is so important. Read it.
