We had the Christmas Mission Conference this week. It was really fun! On the way there we drove through some northern KC for the first time and it was like driving through Mexico again in some spots. Hahaha all the walls are graffitied and there's signs for "Iglesias de los Navajos" and stuff. It makes me way excited to go there sometime. The mission conference was super fun. Great to see all the missionaries. Also I didn't mess up even once on the piano during our singing! Now that is a legit miracle. Forget all else. Haha(:
Our investigator Estela invited us over for dinner this next Tuesday and she said she was going to make us some pasta and chicken. I'm way pumped. Then she told us if we don't have Christmas plans she'd let us come over and make us home made Columbian tamales. Kinda hoping I don't get transferred just for that. Mmmmm. Another miracle is I've been able to keep conversations with her. O.o Gosh her Spanish is so fast I was going to cry the first time. Blessings.
We also had another awesome miracle this week! We got a self referral for this guy named Noah. He's a college student at Rockhurst. We went over to his dorm and he's got some buddies serving missions now but he was baptized Lutheran. Doesn't know much other than from his friends. So we started talking and chilling in his dorm (which, by the way, made me way pumped for college life) and we asked if he'd ever read any of the Book of Mormon. He's like, "yeah a bit." We said, "Cool! How much?" Kinda expecting like a chapter. He goes, "well..I'm only on page 340."
I almost fell out of my chair.
We immediately asked if he found it to be true if he'd be baptized. He's like, "yeah. I've already been thinking about it." My companion and I just stared at each other hahaha it was so awesome. He definitely broke the stereotype of a college student.
Our apartment is also being shut down this week so we have to move! So no matter what the transfer calls are I will have a new address.
