Wooooohoooo General conference!!! This has been the greatest weekend out here. Conference was so baller.
Couple of Favorite points..
- Larry R. Lawrence: The Holy Ghost gives customized counsel. We must be willing to act to receive an answer.
-Uchtdorf: Simplify the gospel. Focus on basic doctrine.
-Holland: MOMS ARE THE BEST.
I could write my entire email about conference, but instead send me your favorite talks or quotes from conference and what stood out to you(:
Also I had my first zone conference with 2 other zones and it was way good, but long... The AP's called me out of the crowd to help with a role play in front of everyone so that was a little nerve wracking. But then later they called me out AGAIN to go up and give a thought to the mission from my studies. -.- .....I think it's because they thought I was sleeping...but I really was simply resting my eyes... :l hehe.
It was bike week as well this week so it's been fun. We rode up into the ghetto on Friday night to visit some old investigators and we helped them put up Halloween decorations and talked to their drunk neighbors. Pretty fun. But my companion is a super scaredy cat and freaks out anytime we go anywhere at night, especially any place sketch.
Not sure why. Psh. I own this city. Hahaha. (':
Today we went mini golfing for p day with my zone. It was a pretty good time. I actually killed everyone too. I had a streak of 5 holes in a row where it took me only two shots! Hot dog.
During conference (we were at the church watching) we heard banging outside..so we went to investigate and there's this Mexican teenager kicking a soccer ball against the wall. So I walked up and was thinking, "Soccer? Too easy. My thing. I know exactly how to make him talk." Ended up getting a time to go kick it with him later this week. His name is Fransisco. I'm hoping maybe we'll be able to meet his parents and get a good Spanish lesson going!
Another cool experience this week.
Our investigators D and Raneesha, who we just met on the street remember, are the dopest people ever. We taught them the restoration and before we even extended an invitation Raneesha is like, "I'm gonna read this book (BOM)." Heck yeah. Then we went back yesterday night, it wasn't the best time for them, but she gave us a plate of home cooked barbecue and sides!! Aw yeah. Can't everybody be like this? (':
But if you want names to pray for..those two please. You all are the best(:
Thanks for everybody's support. I have the best family and friends in the world.
