Happy Birthday 'Murica.
This week went really quick. We had a cool lesson with an investigator family in which we taught the restoration to them. I asked the question if they've noticed a difference in people who have a church/the gospel and those that don't and the mom responded, "Yeah, what the heck. They're so freaking happy! I want that!" Way cool! We're teaching them really consistently now and even the anti-ish boyfriend is cool with us too(:
It's been raining a lot lately and one member here has a real problem with flooding in his house. One day during a rainstorm he asked us if we could help him move cement. So we put on rubber shoes and hauled 80 pound bags of cement through ankle deep mud. It was awesome. But destroyed my muscles by the end of 2 full pallets.
Sunday night when we pulled up to the church to sync our area books and do reporting a whole bunch of people starting showing up to the church building. So we decided to go in and see what was up and another ward along with the Muslim community was there. They were doing their end of the month fast breaking for Ramadan. They let us stay and participate in it and eat some legit middle eastern food (2 dinners in a day is a win). Besides one slightly odd chanty song played it was actually pretty cool to see both religions come together about fasting!
This is officially the beginning of round 2 holidays in the mission field. O.o I hope everyone has an awesome 4th of July!!
