This week was pretty decent!
Wednesday we did exchanges so I spent the day and night in Trenton Missouri. It was pretty cool because those elders drive a truck so I got to drive that all day through the dirt.(: The elder I was with comes from a family of 17 kids. Yup. They are all from the same parents. Let that one sink in.
This week we were able to watch Meet the Mormons with a partially active member and he loved it! "I'm going to share that with a ton of people." Was the response we got haha(:
We also helped in a ward baptism this week. It was a boy from a part member family and we taught him all the missionary discussions and it was great to have his whole family, member and non-members, there at the baptism to support him. The gospel really brings the family together!
A cool miracle: this week we had made a goal to find new investigators as our focus. So we were going the whole week doing our best to find somebody, giving out book of Mormons like crazy. I did the most tracting of my whole mission this week (which isn't much to be honest) but it was super fun. You meet some interesting fellas...but it was Saturday afternoon and we still hadn't found anyone and we were just walking around a little itty bitty town called Pickering and everybody we talked to was shutting us down. So we were walking back to the car a bit bummed, but there were a couple people outside and my companion and I both had the impression to just try one last time before we left. So we walked over and they were the coolest guys ever. We talked about cars and 4 wheelers and then when we brought up the gospel they were all ears! We shared some scriptures with them and they said we could come back and share more. Yay! Finally!! The Lord provides, even if he will test our faith a little bit. He always comes through.
